Saturday Night Lights

MORRIS, Minn. – The Cougar (2-4, 2-3 UMAC) football will take on Crown (1-5, 1-4 UMAC) under the lights on Saturday night, with kickoff starting at 6 p.m. Morris will look for back to back wins for the first time this season as will the Storm. Both teams are coming off UMAC victories last weekend. It is the second to last home game for the Cougars in 2013. WATCH LIVE

Series History: Crown and Minnesota Morris will meet for the 10th time on Saturday. Morris leads the series 7-2, Crown has won two of the last three matchups, last season the Cougars beat Crown 30-29 in overtime. Last year's game was also featured by ESPN as one of the strangest box scores in football.
 
Passing The Torch: Minnesota Morris WR Coach Matt Fragodt was passed by Brendon Foss for most career touchdown catches last weekend. Foss had 13 catches for 193 yards and three touchdown catches last Saturday. He now holds the Cougars TD record with 29 career touchdown catches. Foss ranks 11th in the nation in receiving yards and ninth in receiving TD's.
 
Team Record Gone: Last week Morris had 412 passing yards as a team, setting a new school record in the process.
 
Tackling Tough: Cody Hickman ranks fourth in the nation in total tackles this year. He is averaging 14.2 tackles per game, including 7 solo tackles, which ranks 18th overall.
 
Fightin in the Fourth: Minnesota Morris has been dominating in the fourth quarter this year, outscoring opponents 88-44.
 
Special Return: Dalton DeGraffenreid had punt return for a touchdown against Westminster, he was named the UMAC Special Teams Player of the Week.
 
Scouting the Opponent: Crown is currently 1-5 on the year and 1-4 in the UMAC.
 
The Storm are averaging 18.3 points per game this season. They are averaging 129.8 rushing yards and 159.3 passing yards per game.
 
Defensively, Crown is allowing 28.2 points per game. Teams are averaging 204.7 rushing yard per game. They have been out­scored by 63-34 in the fourth quarter.
