Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota Morris (6-12, 2-5 UMAC) dropped a tough one on Monday, falling 23-1 to Concordia-Moorhead (12-5) in a non-conference game.
Jackson Gessell had the Cougars lone RBI in the game driving in
Eric Terres.
Unfortunately the Cougars could not stop the Cobbers, who scored in all six turns at the plate. They scored two in the first and four in the second to take a 6-0 lead. The lead doubled in the third inning, when Concordia scoring seven runs to take a 13-0 lead. They would push six more runs across over the next two innings to go up 19-0 before the Cougars picked up a run in the top of the sixth. Concordia answered with four more runs in the bottom of the seventh to win the game 23-1.
Morris will return to UMAC play on Wednesday, traveling to Crown for a doubleheader.
