MORRIS, Minn. – The Morris baseball and softball teams have a pair of mid-week games today as they continue UMAC play. The Cougars (6-10, 4-1 UMAC) softball team plays Martin Luther (8-5, 3-2 UMAC) in a double-header starting at 3 p.m. The baseball (6-12, 2-5 UMAC) team plays Crown (3-9, 3-1 UMAC) in a double-header at 2 p.m.
 
The softball team is coming off a successful UMAC crossover last weekend, going 3-1. Today they meet Martin Luther for the first time this year. Their third and final meeting is later in the month at a neutral site. Morris has UMAC Players of the Week Molly Olson and Mackenzie Weatherly to help them earn a pair of wins this afternoon.
 
The baseball team will hope to continue to get production from the top of the lineup. Their top three in the lineup are all hitting over .315. To earn a pair of UMAC wins the rest of the lineup will need to step up. Pitching will also be vital to the Cougars walking away from Cologne with a pair of victories.
