Women's Golf Places Second at Island View Invitational

Payton Sierra finished third overall

WACONIA, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's golf team placed second at the Island View Invitational, hosted by Crown College. St. Scholastica finished first with an overall score of 358 followed by the Cougars tallying a team score of 366.

Individually for the Minnesota Morris women, Payton Sierra led the way with a third-place finish with a score of 86. Kayla Quinn and Meghan Foley both tallied top-10 finishes as they tied for fifth (88) and tied for eighth (93), respectively. Rounding out the quartet competing for Minnesota Morris, Brittany Lormis tied for 12th with a score of 99.

On the men's side, the Cougars did not tally a team score. For the Cougar men, Orion Collins tied for 10th (82), Carter Wattenhofer tied for 24th (89) and Noah Grove tied for 30th (101).
