MORRIS, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris senior Jessica Bliese repeated as the UMAC Field Performer of the Week on Monday after winning two throwing events for the second straight competition.

Bliese improved on both of her season PRs in the shot put and weight throw on Saturday at UW-Superior. In the shot put, her distance of 40-11.75 (12.86 meters) ranks 22nd nationally in Division III. In the weight throw, her effort of 46-10 ranks just outside the top 50 nationally. After two close victories in those events at the first meet of the year, she won both events by more than four feet this time around. 

Next up for Bliese and the women's track & field team are the UMAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The single-day event will be back at UW-Superior on Feb. 27 starting at 12 p.m.
