Cougar baseball travels to St. Scholastica this weekend, after hosting the Saints last season.

The Minnesota Morris baseball team resumes conference play this weekend, taking on St. Scholastica in three-game series in Duluth, Minn. Due to a slight schedule change, the Cougars and Saint will play a doubleheader tonight (Apr. 6) starting at 5:00 p.m., and will wrap up the weekend with one nine-inning game Apr. 7 at 12:00 p.m.

Storyline: The match-up includes the two teams at the top of the UMAC standings in the early season. The Saints and Cougars were the only teams to go 3-0 in the first weekend, and heading into the weekend, St. Scholastica is first in the UMAC with Morris second.

For The Record: The Cougars enter the weekend with a 3-11 record on the season, including a 3-1 mark in UMAC play. The Saints sit at 12-8 overall, and lead the UMAC with a 4-0 conference record.

Last Time Out: Earlier this week, Morris dropped a tough 10-0 decision to Presentation, suffering their first loss in UMAC play. St. Scholastica continued their winning ways on Tuesday (Apr. 3), taking a 12-3 decision from Northland.

Last Season: The Saints took the series with the Cougars last sesaon, 7-2 and 14-0 on the first day, and 16-1 in the finale.
