University of Minnesota Morris Athletics

The 1976-77 men's basketball team won the first-ever NIC conference title at Minnesota Morris. The team had a 12-2 league record and went 21-6 overall. The team lost to Augsburg in the region final after defeating Saint John's in the semifinals. The team was the top defensive unit in NAIA, allowing only 54 points a game. It established school records for defensive points per game, most conference wins, and longest home winning streak (13).
