Hall of Fame
Former Cougar basketball player Bob Foss was elected to the Cougar Hall of Fame for his efforts in the late 1970's. He was a three time NIC All-Conference member in 1976-77, 1977-78 and 1978-79 including the NIC Player of the Year in 1978-79. He remains fifth all time in the NSIC in rebounds.
He holds the school record for most rebounds in a single season with and is second all time in career rebounding (920) at UMM. A member of the 1,000 point club, Foss sits seventh all time in career scoring. Foss was a part of the 1976-77 and 1977-78 teams who set a school record for most wins in a conference season with 12. The 1976-77 team has the school record for most consecutive home wins as they rattled off 13 straight victories.
Following his career at the University of Minnesota Morris, Foss played two years in Sweden where he led the league in scoring and rebounding in each season.
