Hoffman was a four-year starting wide receiver for the Cougar football team from 1997-2000. Be it single, double, or triple covered, Hoffman found a way to get his hands on the ball. By the time he graduated, he set an NCAA Division II record for career receptions with 273. That number still puts him ninth all-time in NCAA Division II. His receptions totaled 3,128 yards and he reeled in 21 touchdown catches. The Starbuck native is a member of the Minnewaska Area Schools Athletic Hall of Fame.
