Al Molde compiled an impressive record as football coach at Minnesota Morris between 1973-79. His overall record of 52-21-1 includes 34 consecutive wins in the NIC and undefeated conference championships from 1975 to 1978. His teams advanced to the NCAA III Playoffs in 1977, 1978, and 1979. He was named NIC Coach of the Year for four consecutive years (75-78), NAIA Area IV Coach of the Year in 1976, and District 13 Coach of the Year in 1975, 1976, and 1977. He would go on to coach at Central Missouri State University, Eastern Illinois University, and Western Michigan University, as well as being the athletic director for Gustavus Adolphus College.
