Hall of Fame
Basil Meyer was an outstanding multi-sport athlete at Minnesota Morris from 1983 to 1987. In 1986 he helped lead the Cougar football team to the NSIC championship and was named all-conference, all-district, and NAIA All-American at the tight end position.
As a baseball player, Meyer was named all-conference as a pitcher three times and all-district in his senior season. He would later spend four years in minor league baseball and advanced to AA ball.
Meyer also played basketball at Minnesota Morris where he had the reputation as a hard-nosed rebounder and defender.
